Bahamas Area of Narcotics Anonymous
We invite residents and visitors to our islands to browse our website for information regarding the Narcotics Anonymous program here in the Bahamas.
No addict seeking recovery need ever die.
The newcomer is the most important person at any meeting because we can’t keep what we have unless we give it away.
Am I an addict? Only you can answer this question.
Perhaps you admit you have a problem with drugs, but you don’t consider yourself an addict. All of us have preconceived ideas of what an addict is. Please read the pamphlet “Am I an Addict” and answer the questions as honestly as you can.
Need someone to talk to? Please call our helpline.
Narcotics Anonymous literature states that the therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel; for one addict can best understand and help another addict. Call and talk to an addict in recovery who has been there.
Our meetings are we share recovery together.
People have all sorts of reasons for attending NA meetings, but the purpose of each meeting is to give NA members a place to share recovery with other addicts. If you have never attended a NA meeting and would like to know what happens at a meeting, follow this link
Today, Narcotics Anonymous is truly a worldwide, multilingual multicultural fellowship.
What is the Narcotics Anonymous Program?
NA is a non-profit Fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership: the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that they work.
